How LA Wellness works
As a LA Health Medical Scheme member, you don't have to do anything! The LA Wellness programme is already available to you and your family at no cost.
Your rewards
R600 to spend on groceries at Pick n Pay the first time you complete a LA Wellness screening in 2024 and if you have completed a screening in the previous years, you will get R400 every year you complete it after that.

The LA Wellness screening is a simple set of important health checks that measures your blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol and includes a Weight-adjusted BMI screening.
LA Health pays once every year for the preventative screening tests. You and your spouse must do it every year to enjoy your rewards.
Here's how it works
01 | Do your LA Wellness screening
For the Scheme to pay for the preventative screening tests for you and your spouse, once a year, you must go to a Designated Service Provider in the network.
02 | Get a voucher to spend on groceries at Pick n Pay
Get an SMS within a week with your reward code to use at Pick n Pay in a single purchase.
03 | Shop at any Pick n Pay with your reward
Show the unique code in your SMS to the cashier before ringing up your shopping.
04 | Your LA Wellness screening doubles your funeral cover!
Increase your funeral cover from R7,500 to R15,000 for you and your spouse, and increase your funeral cover from R5,000 to R10,000 for up to 5 children. The funeral cover for you and your dependants ends on the 65th birthday of the main member.
